We have kicked off guidance this year by discussing citizenship in most grades levels. Since the first pillar of character is citizenship, we will focus on this topic for a few more weeks. The kids have done such a great job of brainstorming ways to be a good, kind, helpful citizen.
In fourth grade, students thought of local businesses that help those in need in our community. They put their answers on sticky notes and posted them on the board for everyone to see. Check it out below!

In the younger grades, we brainstormed ways to show good citizenship. Ideas varied from helping to pick up trash, to help picking up a friend that has fallen on the ground. I am so impressed with the ideas the students came up with!
Be on the lookout for more activities that promote good citizenship!
